FUL- April-Life is a journey ENJOY the ride!

Hello Paper Friends!

It's a new month and another exciting kit for Flying Unicorn. The kit brings us a brilliant mix of extra-ordinary goodies.

For the Mixed Art part we got  3 Mini canvasses and I decided to stick them together. I started to give the canvasses a light wash with the Opal Acrylic Finnabair paint. As shown on the photos its a light lilac on the gesso side but a gold on the reverse wood side. That's the fun with these Opal paints. They react differently depending on the surface you use them on. Fun!

Once dry I used the Studio 75 Stencil that's part of the kit and sprayed it with Prima Color Bloom Empress Gold. Loving the doily effect.

I mixed paste with the purple Acrylic Finnabair paint and used the same stencil to apply to the canvas.

In the reverse canvas I glued the saying from the Studio 75 paper pack. I put some 13@rts Gel Medium around the inside corners and put mini gold beads. Time for the flowers. I didn't put a lot on there so not to cover up all the patterns. The big Prima Tales of You & Me flowers are just perfect.

Thank you for looking!

Have a scrappy day!

CSI Case 195 - Vacation by the Sea!

Revealing the next case as guest detective for CSI.

They're fun to do. When seeing the colors for this challenge I immediately thought of using the Prima-French Riviera papers. Love the multitude of colors.

Used a chippie and some Petaloo vines. Prima flowers to complete the look and lots of the cipboard collection from Prima-French Riviera.

Just a couple of different looks of the layout.

FUL Today post - Card & Tag Set - Special Friend!

Hello Paper & Uni friends!
I'm happy to show you how I've made this Card & Tag set today.

The paper I used is Riddersholm - Tailgate Marked. When I started I had the idea I thought I was going to use a lot more paper, but it actually was a lot less in the end. They're all on the photo anyway :).

The CE chippie I put on a mat using another paper from the Riddersholm papers. That was matted on some kraft paper. Just a little edge to show some difference in lines. Of course with all my work I like to ink the edges. I used Tim Holtz - Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

To decorate the card I used Petaloo flowers and a title from the Riddersholm papers.

For some final touches I added some Prima - Say it with Crystals - French Riviera - 584801, a piece of lace and splattered with Prima - Color Bloom - Empress Gold - 580315.
Voila, the card is all done! On to the matching tag!

For the tag I used the reverse side of the same paper. The tag is 3 1/2" x 7". I backed the paper with the packaging we get with flowers and it looks just like kraft paper. Gives it a sturdier feel to it. On top of the big tag I used a smaller tag from the Julie Nutting - Kraft Paper Tag Pad - 911065 to start building the rest of my top tag.

I went with another square chippy from the same Creative Elements set and panted it with the Copper paint. Used a mat from the same paper and stuck it on the tag diagonally with the chippy on top.

I used my favorite ink to ink the edges and sorted through my stash of ribbons and lace to find some nice ones to add to the tag. Using the same collection of flowers to decorate to keep them as a set.

The flowers are all Petaloo. The ones with the berries are an older one but I just liked the look of it. Petaloo - Floral Embellishments - Canterbury Collection - Berry Picks.

To keep the whole tag theme going I used the little friend title. Put an eyelet through it and hung it from the top. The nice thing when you build up the whole second tag separate from the bottom one  you can move them individually. There is space to hide your sentiment or you can even put something in between.

As a final look the two side by side again! I hope you enjoyed the step by step tutorial.

Below the list of used items. As always supplied by Flying Unicorn
